Twisters - Add that subtle twist to your ornamental wrought ironwork

TWISTERS are Hand Operated Twisting Tools for adding decorative twists to steel bar. Because the steel bar is twisted cold ie without heating the metal, these tools ensure consistent results in square and flat metal bar.

Full details of the Practical & Master Twisters are given below along with details and demonstrations of the optional extras available with each.

The accompanying video clips are presented in .wmv (Windows Media Player format). They can be viewed as two different versions, Dial Up (smaller low resolution clip for users with a dial-up connection) and Broadband (larger high resolution version for users with a high speed connection).

* Longer twists can be achieved with care by moving twisted section through the machine and then twisting the next section.

EASY TO USE - NO PRE-HEATING OF METAL REQUIRED WHEN TWISTING...

1. To use, simply clamp material in collar and set required length of twist by moving slider and clamping in position.

2. Twist handles as required and then release twisted length from the collar.

Other Information

All tools are supplied complete with operating instructions and spare parts list. Please note that the maximum working capacity stated is for Hot Rolled Mild Steel Bar & Annealed Bright Mild Steel Bar. Working beyond these limits or with material of greater hardness may reduce the operational life of the machines.

Practical Twister Adapator
This special Boss and Slide Unit can be fitted to the Practical Twister in place of the standard collar to allow rapid twisting - a feature of particular importance if having to make repeated twists. The slotted collar also allows twists to be inserted in a length of flat strip which has scrolls already formed at each end. [Max working capacity: 20mm x 3mm (flat strip only). Length of twist possible: Min 25mm (1") Max 940mm (37").

Ornamental Basket Making Attachment on the Master Twister
With the use of special gripping attachments (optional) with the Master Twister, ornamental 'baskets' can be easily formed using pre-welded clusters of four 6mm or 8mm square bars. (Patent applied for)
